Born in Sacramento, California, Joshua trained at Northern California Dance Conservatory. He attended summer training programs with Boston Ballet, Ballet Austin, and Pittsburgh Ballet Theater while on scholarship. In 2017, Joshua joined Eugene Ballet as an aspirant. He was promoted to company dancer in 2019 and then principal dancer in 2025. With Eugene Ballet, Joshua has performed notable roles such as Oberon in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Escamillo in Carmen, The Monkey King in Mowgli, Hans and the Cavelier in The Nutcracker, and Bluebird in Sleeping Beauty, among others. Additionally, he has had the pleasure of performing works by guest choreographers such as Gerald Arpino, Edward Liang, Nicolo Fonte, Val Caniparoli, and Eva Stone. Joshua loves sharing the stage with his wife, Sarah Kosterman.
