Adult Classes

EBA offers Adult Classes for all levels – for those new to ballet, as well as those with years of experience, we have classes for you. In a supportive and welcoming environment, EBA is committed to providing inspiring and motivating experiences that support dance education and health goals for our adult community. Our adult classes are taught by experienced faculty, providing exceptional training and experience. We hope you’ll join us!

2025 Adult Summer Classes

Extended Adult Ballet Foundations Summer

July 31-August 14, 2025

Thursday 6:30-7:45pm

This class is perfect for dancers with no ballet experience and will cover all of the basics. Dancers will learn vocabulary that will complement the content covered in this session. No ballet attire necessary (athletic wear or dancewear welcome).

Adult Ballet Foundations

Thursday 6:45-8:00pm 

This class is perfect for dancers with no ballet experience and will cover all of the basics. Dancers will also receive a vocabulary list upon enrollment that will complement the content covered in this session. No ballet attire necessary (athletic wear or dance wear welcome).

Students must enroll in the full session as this class is progressive and builds upon previous classes.

Adult Ballet Back to Basics

Tuesday 9:45-11:00am

This class is for the adult student who has a very basic knowledge of ballet with some previous experience.  This class is perfect for the student who may have danced some as a young child or has recently been inspired and would like to expand their knowledge and experience.  Curriculum focuses on exercises, techniques and steps of classical ballet with an emphasis on terminology and body alignment. Classes include warm-up, barre and center floor work.

Adult Beginning Ballet

Sunday 11:00am-12:30pm

This class is for those students who have had some previous training and have a basic knowledge of classical ballet vocabulary and technique. This class is designed for the student interested in advancing their knowledge and skills, as well as those wishing to refresh their technique and get back into ballet!

Adult Beginning Pointe

*Sunday Adult Beginning Ballet Required Prior to Pointe. Not Available for Drop-In*

Sunday 12:30-1:00pm

*Placement Required*

A beginning level pointe class for adults with some or little experience looking to take their first steps en pointe.

Adult Beginning/Intermediate Ballet

Wednesday 7:15-8:45pm

This class is for the dancer who has had 1-2 years of experience in ballet. Whether you are a beginning student looking to develop more skills or a dancer who is looking to refresh or hone their technique, this class may be for you.

Adult Intermediate Ballet

Monday 6:45-8:15pm

For dancers with 3+ years of experience.

Level 5/6/Adult General Open Ballet

Saturday 11:30am-1:00pm

*Placement Required*

A fast-paced upper-level class for the experienced dancer.  We welcome ages 13+ and adults to experience a well-rounded and challenging ballet class.

Tips for Adult Division Dancers

Whether fulfilling your dreams of learning to dance, brushing up on old skills, or looking for a fun activity, making sure you’re well prepared both physically and mentally will help you to make the most of your dance experience.  

  1. Make sure you have the right clothing and shoe attire for the demands of the dance style and that will work for you.   
  2. Hydrate and be sure you’ve fueled your body for optimum energy output. 
  3. Give yourself time to mentally prepare. 
  4. Be ready to enjoy time for yourself.

What to Wear

Ballet, Pointe, and Foundations Classes

Ballet attire or fitted athletic clothing may be worn. Leotard colors and skirts are free choice. Slippers are required. 

Modern Classes (General Division class)

Comfortable athletic clothing, pants preferred. Bare feet.
