Gabriel began his dance journey here, in Eugene, Oregon, at the age of 5, where he fell in love with contemporary, tap, and hip hop. Throughout high school, he trained at both flex Studios and Eugene Ballet Academy. As a member of the Eugene Ballet pre-professional program, he had the opportunity to perform in many of Toni Pimble’s works, including Peter Pan, Mowgli, The Nutcracker, and Carmen. Most recently, Gabriel was honored to make his debut as an Aspirant in Pimble’s Carmina Burana, performed in collaboration with the Oregon Bach Festival.
Gabriel has spent his summers training at multiple renowned companies and training programs, including Alonzo King Lines Ballet, Arts Umbrella, Ballet BC, and Oregon Ballet Theater. Highlights of his summer training include working directly with Alonzo King and learning Crystal Pite’s repertoire at Arts Umbrella. In addition to performing, Gabriel has a strong passion for choreography and has completed both solos and group works. He also regularly collaborates and dances with the Fermata Ballet Collective and T.O.E (Tappers of Eugene). Gabriel is pursuing a BFA in dance at the University of Oregon, where he is also a student in the Clarks Honors College.
Outside of dance, Gabriel enjoys spending time in the forest with photography and catching up with friends over coffee. Gabriel is looking forward to his first full season as an Aspirant with the Eugene Ballet.
