Axel Dāzee is an artist, designer, educator, author, producer and more! Since 2022, she has been Eugene Ballet’s costume shop manager and in-house costume designer. Experienced in all aspects of costume and clothing design, her expert knowledge includes pattern-making, draping, garment construction, textile manipulation and surface design. Axel received her MFA in Visual Studies from the Pacific Northwest College of Art and has over a decade of teaching experience in fashion and costume design. Before moving to Eugene, Axel produced and curated events at numerous Austin, TX -based artistic enterprises including The Contemporary Austin, The Museum of Human Achievement, Austin Museum of Art, and The Blanton Museum of Art, among others. Axel’s costume design credits for recent Eugene Ballet productions include Petrushka, The Little Mermaid, Portrait in Glass, Tracy Bonham, and Peter Pan.
