A Gala Evening Celebrating 12 Ballets at 12 Tables with the Company Dancers

Friday, February 24, 2012 at 5:30 p.m.

The Eugene Country Club’s elegant accommodations will become a visual feast of the world of ballet, with delightful costumes and set pieces to peruse while you enjoy appetizers and beverages. Hosted wine will be provided at your table, and a no-host bar will be available for those desiring other beverage choices.

Dinner will feature two salad options, three entrée choices (including a vegetarian option), and desserts created especially for each table’s ballet theme by local pastry chefs and bakeries – as each table’s centerpiece décor you’ll be tempted throughout dinner (or you may want to bid for your neighbor’s confection).

You’ll see ballet up close and personal, right at your table, with performances by the Company dancers: pas de deux from Scheherazade, Midsummer Night’s Dream, Dracula, and An American in Paris; excerpts from Romeo & Juliet (with Prinicpal Dancers Juan-Carlos Amy Cordero and Yoshie Oshima), Swan Lake (with Principal Dancer Aoi Anraku and Betty Kondo, two of our new Company members), and the Firebird from Sleeping Beauty. Aoi will perform a variation from Don Quixote and Heather Wallace Solisz will reprise her fierce Tiger Lily from Peter Pan. Group performances from Dark Side of the Moon, Skinwalkers, and Jitterbug, Jive and Jazz will wow you with energy and athleticism. And we’ll all be just a little bit silly as the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland joins us (the “fleet of feet” Ben Goodman) just for fun.

Guests will have opportunities to purchase tickets to win a number of spectacular packages during the evening, including a McKenzie River raft/paddle trip, a $500 catering package from Alpine Catering, a Shopping Spree package with $100 gift certificates to Melange and Duo Donne (and more), a Dining Out package featuring Eugene’s finest restaurants, and much, much more. Our amazing Wine Wall will be stocked with “blind” bottles of our area’s finest varietals, with the added excitement of a unique selection of high end wines from around the world.
