Saturday, October 20 at 8pm Sunday, October 21 at 2:30 pm A contemporary classical ballet set to Bizet’s score - world premiere! Choreographed by artistic director Toni Pimble, the ballet tells the tragic love story of the passionate Carmen and her obsessed lover Don Jose. Exciting, passionate, riveting and ultimately tragic, this ballet shows off the fabulous dancers of our company at their most expressive.
Little Tricker the Squirrel meets Big Double the Bear
Saturday, February 23 at 8 pm Sunday, February 24 at 2:30 pm A charming children’s story written by Oregon’s own Ken Kesey, Little Tricker the ballet will be narrated by local Actor/Director, Patrick Torelle. Puppetry master Michael Curry, winner of six Tony awards for his design of The Lion King, has designed Big Double the Bear who will delight children of all ages with his antics as he tries to catch Little Tricker, the smartest squirrel in the Northwest!
Balanchine Celebration (Rubies & More)
Saturday, April 19 at 8 pmSunday, April 20 at 2:30 pm Rubies, set to Stravinsky’s Capriccio is arguably the finest component of the full-length ballet Jewels. It is “movement made music” where Balanchine has in his own words, “simply followed the score.” This will be our first Balanchine ballet! Also on the program will be another work from America’s master choreographer, as well as Toni Pimble’s May Dances. Pianist Robert Ashens will join the company on stage, as they interpret Robert Schumann’s romantic Davidsbündlertänze.
