Swan Lake is the pinnacle of classical ballet. Choreographed by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov over 100 years ago, the ballet continues to entrance and enrich the lives of ballet fans the world over. This sumptuous production features over one hundred costumes, sets designed by scenic artist, Peter Dean Beck and a full corp de ballet of swans presided over by the evil magician Rothbart. Staged by Louis Godfrey and Denise Shultze, Swan Lake tells the story of a disconsolate prince who happens open a lake filled with creatures, half swan, half woman, caught in Rothbart’s wicked spell. Love conquers all in the end to Tchaikovsky’s romantic and dramatic score. (Children appropriate 10 years and up)
