Petr Orlov

This is Petr’s ninth season with The Eugene Ballet. Petr was born in Ust-Ilimsk, Russia. He began studying ballet at age five at the noted National Ballet Theater “Solnechie Blicki” under the Artistic Direction of Elena Orlova. In 1990, he entered the renowned Perm Academy of Ballet in Perm, Russia. In 1991 Peter attended The Moscow Academy of Ballet, studying with many of Russia’s great ballet teachers of The Bolshoi Ballet. He also studied at Elmhurst Ballet School in England. In 2002 Petr joined Moscow City Ballet. He has toured extensively in Russia and the United Kingdom. Most recently Petr was featured in Oregon Bach Festival’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream as Bottom. He is featured with the Eugene Ballet as the Jack in the Box and in the Russian Dance in The Nutcracker, Jitterbug, Jive and Jazz in Swingin’ the Blues, Pink Martini’s, Amado Mio as well as Toni Pimble’s premiere of Divertimento.
